International week (Tuesday 17/11/2020 – Friday 20/11/2020): Innovative practices in education

After four international STEAM weeks in four years, AP University of Applied Sciences and Arts Antwerp (Antwerp, Belgium) decided to join forces with HZ University of Applied Sciences (Vlissingen, the Netherlands) to offer you and your colleagues the opportunity to teach at both HEI’s during a joint international week in November 2019.

Following last year’s successful first edition, HZ and AP can’t wait to continue the collaboration. However, the worldwide corona crisis challenges us to rethink our concept and design a new, coronaproof, online international week for our teacher training students. Our central theme is “Finding Connection in Education”: how can (student-) teachers connect with their pupils, with (international) colleagues, with their environment, with themselves, …? What challenges do they face, especially since the corona outbreak, and how can they deal with these challenges?

You can take part by sharing your expertise in education (STEAM, outdoor, urban, mindfulness in education, creativity, …) and inspire Dutch and Flemish future teachers in preprimary and primary education with your innovative practices in education!

You can choose whether you give your lecture / workshop from your home institution or home office but of course you are welcome as well to travel to AP to do so, although all interaction with our students will most likely be conducted on an online platform (Microsoft Teams, Skype, Zoom,… ).

If we don’t have an Inter Institutional Agreement yet, we can sign one and make your participation possible within the Erasmus+ framework for staff mobilities. Travel and accommodation costs are at your own expense.

Feel free to contact me if you want to join the teaching staff team of this international week so we can explore the possibilities and plan your participation together.

Greetings from Antwerp!
