Community Building at the European Universities – EDUC Staff Training – 1-4 October 2024. Pécs

The goal of the training:

The European Commission's initiative aims to renew and enhance the competitiveness of European higher education, resulting in the establishment of so-called European university alliances since 2019. These alliances continuously face new challenges in their operations, including community-building and intra-alliance communication responsibilities handled by community manager colleagues. The program's primary goal, organised by the EDUC European University Alliance, is to shed light on the most significant challenges, providing space and opportunity for colleagues from different European university alliances to share best practices. Alongside workshop-style programs, lectures by external experts also enrich the professional program.

This training is ideal for Community Managers of the European university alliances. During the program, emphasis will be placed on internal (university) communication, good practice-sharing, and lectures mixed with cultural specialties and challenges from all around Europe. The participants will be able to express their difficulties during their community-building work, develop their knowledge through the concepts of professional lecturers, and build a professional network within this very focused field.

Who can take part in the program:

The training is suggested primarily to community managers from European university alliances and colleagues from international offices who deal with community building within their institutions during everyday work.

Participation fee: 150 € incl.VAT/person

The participation fee includes the following: a welcome package, training program, coffee breaks and lunches for four days, a city tour in Pécs, and a campus tour at the University of Pécs.

The participation fee does not include the following: travel costs, accommodation, insurance, breakfasts and dinners, and other general and personal expenses.
