1-Week Erasmus+ Higher Education Staff Mobility Programme

University of Galway’s English Language Centre (ELC)  have an exciting opportunity for administrative and academic staff working in higher education who wish to improve their professional English by enrolling in our immersive Erasmus+ Higher Education Staff Mobility Programme at the University of Galway this summer. We provide a range of courses that prepares you in professional English language for the workplace and EMI training for academic staff who teach through the medium of English.  

The 1- Week Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Programme is aimed at staff (academic & administrative) who wish to develop their professional English skills and who have an interest in exploring the West coast of Ireland and includes the following:

• The 1- Week Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Programme runs consecutively for 4-weeks staring week of staring 5th July, 12th July, 19th July, 26th July.
• Staff will undertake an immersive course of 15 hours of professional English language training, cultural activities and stay in the University’s new campus residences https://stay.universityofgalway.ie/
• Mixed nationality groups (subject to availability) based on a maximum of 15 students
• Level test, if required 
• Course learning materials & Certificate of attendance provided by University of Galway’s English Language Centre
• Access to campus facilities including library, gymnasium, sports facilities, Wi-Fi. 
• Social Activity Programme including Guided Walking Tour, Irish Culture Class and a Full Day Tour (e.g. Cliffs of Moher, Burren, Dublin)
• Participation in an Erasmus+ Staff Mobility programme is funded by your home institution.
• The English Language Centre, University of Galway will provide the essential documentation to receive funding for these courses (Staff Mobility for Training Invitation, Course Outline, Certificate of Participation)
• The programme can facilitate staff members who wish to bring their families and stay in the campus residence.
