The University François Rabelais of Tours, France, is pleased to announce its 2nd Erasmus Staff Mobility Training Week, to be held from 22nd - 26th June 2015.

> Who is concerned?

This year, our Erasmus Staff Week exclusively targets International Relations Office staff involved in the implementation and the management of the Erasmus + programme (Key Action 1: Mobility project for students and staff).

> What is the goal of this Erasmus Staff Week?

This ESW will deal with the following thematic:  "Staff and student mobilities : how to get the best from the new Erasmus + programme?". It will focus on the Erasmus + programme and more particularly on the mobility process.

Here are the main themes to be debated:

  • Promoting Erasmus+ staff and teachers mobilities
  • Discussing the best way to manage Erasmus+ incoming student mobilities
  • Brainstorming on encountered difficulties with  Erasmus+ outgoing student mobilities
  • Dealing with the new Erasmus+ agreements

The seminar will be the opportunity to meet with colleagues from partner universities, debate about higher education in Europe and exchange examples of best practices.

We expect an active collaboration from selected participants: besides a brief presentation of their university, participants are asked to think about positive and negative aspects of running Erasmus + mobilities. We believe this will lead to an effective knowledge sharing.

The programme is currently being designed but the Week will offer lectures and roundtables, as well as some cultural time. You will find attached a draft planning.

Please note that the working language will be English.

> How to apply?

Since the number of participants will be limited to 30, we recommend the interested candidates to fill in the attached application form: please send it to Aurore Leroy aurore.leroy@univ-tours.fr  by March 20th 2015 at the latest.

The selection results will be sent to each applicant shortly after the application deadline, and the selected participants will receive the definitive programme.

We will select preferably one candidate per institution, and we will allow a maximum of 2 representatives from each institution. We may not be able to accept all applicants.

For your good information, travel, accommodation and living expenses have to be paid by the participants. That's why we advise each participant to apply for an erasmus staff mobility grant at their home university, via their International Relations Office.

Feel free to contact Ms. Aurore Leroy if you need any further information. We look forward to welcoming you in Tours!
