“Challenges of exchange: balance in managing partnerships and diversity“
University of Jena is glad to announce the International Staff Training Week “Challenges of Exchange” which will be held from 24 June to 28 June 2019 in Jena.
We kindly invite our colleagues from international offices to take part in various workshops on these topics:
- incoming mobility: keeping figures up, managing diversity, keeping them happy
- outgoing mobility: increasing numbers of outgoing students and staff
- mobility management: tools, experience, best practice.
This programme will be hosted by our experienced teams who are actively engaged in these important issues. During the workshops, you will be able to contribute your views and experience, and provide other colleagues with useful pieces of advice from your everyday work.
The working language of the event will be English.
Furthermore we will discover Jena and its region, go on a trip to the newly opened Bauhaus Museum in Weimar (100th anniversary of Bauhaus), will participate in the University’s Summer on Friday evening (28 June), and visit the rich/impressive historical city of Erfurt with its synagogue and the dome.
The participation fee amounts to €170 (train and bus tickets for the trips to Weimar and Erfurt, and guided tours included).
Application period:
- from 15 March 2019 to 15 April 2019
- All applicants will be informed about the selection results by 1 May 2019.
The maximum number of participants is limited to 20 and to two employees per university.
If there might be any additional places available, we will inform you about it immediately.
We would be glad to meet you and spend this week at our university in Jena together.
