We are pleased to let you know that consolidating the tradition, Baltic International Academy, Riga, Latvia
is holding the Third International Week on 9th-13th May, 2016.
We are coming together in the inspirational environment offered by welcoming premises of the Baltic International Academy for networking, benchmarking, sharing expertise, ideas and best practices, international teaching and learning experiences and more.
This year the departments of Entrepreneurship •, European Studies • and Computer Design (Digital Visualizations) • are setting the tune for the forum under the slogan: Enterprising and Society Development.
Under the umbrella of ENTERPRISING & SOCIETY DEVELOPMENT,
we intend to bring to the discussion the issues that concern us – and we invite you to share yours. We will be talking about the current trends in social development, most urgent economic and political issues, the challenges of pedagogical profession in the context, research activities and areas of interest of BIA staff and quests.
HIGHLIGHTS
• LECTURING •- Guest lectures for our students as an essential component of your visit.
• WORKSHOPS •– held by the quests, and offered by host staff on a variety of topics.
• ROUND TABLES•– discussions on the topics offered by host staff and suggested by the quests.
SPECIAL FEATURE • Coinciding with the IWEEK a research-to-practice annual conference: “The time of challenges and opportunities: problems, solutions, horizons” will be held by BIA on 12th-13th May 2016.
ADDED VALUE
Recognizing each other potential and blending complementary skills and resources we hope to start partnerships leading to
joint events and activities, possibly involving three or more parties and
allowing access to funding under the umbrellas of international projects
joined research activities as well as involving students into research, and holding such events as summer schools, traineeship etc.
