5th ERASMUS Staff Mobility Week – For Librarians

The Library and Information Center of the University of Patras happily announces its 5th Erasmus Staff Mobility Week for Librarians. We welcome fellow librarians and library staff working in Academic and Research Libraries or similar institutions to share their knowledge and expertise and help create a strong network of libraries in Europe.

The program will include presentations and workshops of the Library and Information Center’s services and on-going projects, as well as cultural events, combining thus education and recreation.

We expect our applicants to have knowledge on areas, such as cataloguing, circulation, digitization, open access and information literacy, without of course excluding other professionals working in a Library.

Cost

We do not charge any participation fee, but visitors will cover their own expenses for travel and accommodation. Some meals and coffees are included in the program. Participants are encouraged to use the Erasmus Mobility Grant.

The electronic application form is now available on our site. Please, send your application as soon as possible, but no later than April 15th, 2018.

Program

A preliminary program is formed, but may be subject to change.

Selection of applicants

If we receive more applications, there will be a selection process based on our effort to find the colleagues that will maximize the outcomes of the Week, both for our staff and for the rest of the participants. We also want our group to consist of as many different institutions, nationalities and ages as possible. Applicants will be informed about the result until the end of April and they will receive all the information needed about matters of traveling, accommodation, etc.
