Dear Colleagues,

It is our pleasure to invite you to our 5th International Staff Week, which will be organized at Gdańsk University of Technology (GUT) Library, in Gdańsk, Poland, from 1-5 June 2020.

This year we would like to invite you to discuss one of the most emerging issues, international cooperation from academic library’s perspective. Our Staff Week will be a great opportunity to meet and discuss different aspects of university international cooperation from academic library's perspective including:

  • changing practices,
  • challenges,
  • problems,
  • benefits,
  • added value,
  • influences,
  • library associations,
  • initiatives,
  • supporting international research teams,
  • supporting international students,
  • sharing expertise,
  • learning other approaches,
  • building partnerships
  • other issues.

We cordially invite all academic librarians to join us at Gdańsk University of Technology Library for our 5th International Staff Week. Enclosed you will find the preliminary work and social program and Gdańsk University of Technology Brochure. Here you will find information about our previous STWs.

Participation in the 5th International Staff Week is free of charge. The participants should cover their travel, accommodation and other kinds of costs from the Erasmus+ funds awarded by their home organizations.

Participants are supposed to prepare a 10-minute presentation about international cooperation from their library's perspective. If your library does not have an international cooperation section and you want to learn how we develop international cooperation, you are welcome to join our STW - please prepare in such case a general presentation about your library (in application form include the title of the presesntation about your library instead of presentation about international cooperation from your library's perspective).

Please, send your cover letter explaining why you would be interested in participating in the 5th Staff Week at GUT Library to Urszula Szybowska, Coordinator of International Cooperation at Gdańsk University of Technology Library, e-mail: ursszybo@pg.edu.pg. Send your presentation no later than 25.05.2020 via e-mail to ursszybo@pg.edu.pg.
