8th International Week by Afyon Kocatepe University

Dear partner universities,

It is our pleasure to invite you to the 8th Erasmus International Week organized by Afyon Kocatepe University, which will take place between 23 and 27 of May 2022. We personally aim to host academic and administrative staff from European and Non-European Countries within Erasmus+ Programme. The mobilities can be under the staff teaching and training, so we will arrange the respected faculties or departments, additionally, IRO staff is also welcomed. 

Since 2005, we have been sending and accepting students and academic staff from various universities within KA131 and KA171 Erasmus+. So, we want to celebrate by hosting you at our event. We would be happy to welcome colleagues from all departments and other associated fields of work. The language of the International Week is English.

Afyon Kocatepe University will offer a social program, lunches, and gala dinner for the event participants. You will get a great discount on accommodation from a five-star thermal hotel situated in Afyonkarahisar city. Reservation will be made by AKU International Relations Office. But payment for the hotel will be done by participants, themselves. The name of the hotel will be published soon here.

Also, we are organizing a trip to Hierapolis (Denizli, Turkey), Şirince (a small village near İzmir), and Ephesus (famous ancient ruins near İzmir) on 26th May (arrival) and 27th May (departure). You can buy your departure tickets from İzmir. The transportation for the trip will be free of charge but accommodation will be covered by participants. 

For teaching, staff will have to fulfill training and teaching duties in the respective faculty/ department in Afyon Kocatepe University. For training, staff will be participating in the workshops, events organized in staff week. The priority for staff teaching and training mobilities will be given to our European and Non-European Partners within Erasmus+ Programme.
