Dear Colleagues,

it is our pleasure to invite you to join our International Erasmus Staff Training Week at the Gdańsk Tech Library. This year staff week’s theme is the university library’s intellectual capital. Our event will be organized in the Gdańsk Tech Library, Gdańsk, Poland, from 19th to 23rd of May, 2025.

The university library’s intellectual capital (IC) can be seen as intangible capital it creates - collective knowledge and resources of the organization. Thanks to them the library and in a broad sense the university and society can be provided with various benefits. The IC of the university library consists of 3 components: human capital (staff training and education, staff skills, experience & attributes, staff culture), structural capital (organizational culture) and relational capital (librarian-user relationship, personnel networks and user trainining).

We cordially invite all academic librarians to join us at Gdańsk University of Technology Library for our 9th International Staff Week. Enclosed you will soon find the Erasmus Staff Week work and social program (please, note that this schedule is preliminary and subject to change).

Participants are supposed to prepare a 20-minute presentation on a subject fitting into this year’s theme; alternatively, they can give a presentation about the libraries they work at on everyday basis.

Enclosed (see the file attached below) you will find the Eramsus Staff Week work and social program (please, note that this schedule is preliminary and subject to change).
