Welcome to the third Staff Training Week for librarians at Aix-Marseille University!

Aix-Marseille University Libraries and International Relations Office are delighted to announce that we will be hosting our third Staff Training Week for Librarians in June 2024! We place much faith in the value of meeting partners and sharing experiences. We hope that this event will serve to strengthen collaboration and consolidate the links we have with all our partner institutions.

For Whom? The program is designed for library professionals with varied backgrounds working in universities or other research oriented libraries with interest in sharing ideas, benchmarking of practices and networking with international colleagues.

Priority will be given to librarians from the CIVIS European alliance.

The number of participants is limited to 15.

When? The staff week will take place from Monday morning June 17th until Friday, June 21st 2024.

Provisional Program:

The language of the program is English.

The program can be checked on the document attached down below. The staff week will consist of presentations by both the hosting team in Aix Marseille University and the participants for the week. There will also be visits to selected libraries. The themes covered during the staff week will include (but may not be limited to): teaching information literacy skills, library spaces and service design, special collections, open science.

Costs: Accommodation and travel costs to and from Marseille are to be covered by the participants.
