Every day international offices and academic administrative teams worldwide strive to assist staff members and students in becoming forward-thinking, inspired, responsible, and mobile – or simply put: FIRM. Moreover, we support our faculty members – researchers, lecturers, advisors and professors – in maintaining their FIRM status. We organize services and consultation sessions and provide orientation and motivation, so everyone can set and reach their goals in the international academic field. How do we as members of such offices and teams manage to do this? We would like to know not only your methods, services, and ideas, but also the challenges and obstacles you face in order to encourage FIRMity in academia.
By sharing our best practices, we can come away with new ideas and renewed motivation. The International Center Clausthal warmly invites you to its 6th International Staff Exchange Week from June 15-19, 2020. During these five days, we would like to show you the services we use at Clausthal University of Technology to make and keep our students, all of our fellow colleagues and those from our partner universities FIRM. We, of course, invite you to discuss your established and innovative techniques in reaching FIRMity at your academic institutions.
Presentations, workshops, and excursions are planned to give you the opportunity to get to know our small, spirited University of Technology in Germany’s most northern mountain region, the Harz Mountains.
