We are happy to announce and warmly welcome you to our 7th International Staff Exchange Week at Clausthal University of Technology!

Every day, International Relations/Global Offices worldwide strive to encourage fellow staff members, students, and academic staff in being sustainable, mobile, aware, and resilient, or simply put: SMART.

All of us organize services and consultation sessions, and provide orientation and motivation while simultaneously managing countless administrative tasks. We share the common goal of encouraging people with an academic background to think beyond borders despite all the challenges we are facing: the rise of conflicts around the world, political insecurities, inflation, and climate change, just to mention a few.

But how do we manage to do all this? How do we make students and staff to think and to act globally? We would like to know not only about your approach but also the challenges you face in promoting SMART students and staff at your home university.

In the spirit of sharing best practices, the International Center Clausthal warmly invites you to its 7th International Staff Exchange Week from June 10-14, 2024. The target group of this event are members of International Relations/ Global Offices and all colleagues involved in Mobility Programs. Over the course of these five days, we would like to learn from you and to show you the services and tools we implement at Clausthal University of Technology so that we can all become SMARTer.

We have scheduled, workshops, presentations, discussions, and excursions to give you a well-rounded overview of our small, yet very diverse University of Technology in Germany’s most northern mountain region, the Harz Mountains, and also to show you the surrounding UNESCO’s World Cultural Heritage Sites. Please watch our short video highlighting the vast beauty of our town and innovative minds of our entire academic staff and student body.

Did we attract your interest in our International Staff Exchange Week? Then, we will be glad to receive your application for participation. Therefore, please fill out the registration form and submit it at the latest by April 8, 2024.

As soon as your participation in our International Staff Exchange Week is confirmed you can start to organize travel arrangements. Accommodation and travel expenses in general can be funded via Erasmus+ grants from your home institution.
