We are pleased to invite you to the 1st Symposium and Staff Week “Building Bridges of Cooperation and Research in the Baltic Sea Region” which will take place 18-20 May 2022 (postponed from June 2021 due to the Corona pandemic) in the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences at the University of Rostock. This symposium & Staff Week will offer an excellent opportunity to intensify and expand the cooperation network among universities in the Baltic Sea region. Everyone involved in the broad field of internationalisation at departments, schools and faculties in economics and social sciences is welcome to participate. Colleagues from other countries are also warmly invited to attend.

You will spend three days/four nights at the oldest university in the Baltic Sea region and the fourth most beautiful university in Europe (according to the Times Higher Education ranking). Rostock is also a popular holiday destination and just the perfect place to strengthen existing partnerships and build new ones.
The working language is English. For all participants from the Baltic Sea region (Denmark, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Russia, Finland, Sweden and Norway) the cost of accommodation, most meals during your stay in Rostock, and an excursion will be covered by the University of Rostock. Due to funding rules we can only cover the cost of meals and the excursion, but not for accomodation, for participants from other countries.
