Three of the largest university libraries of the Consortium of University Libraries of Catalonia (CSUC) the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), and the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) are pleased to announce the first Catalan University Libraries Erasmus Staff Week open to all staff members of our partner Universities who work in the Library Services. We invite you to join us in Barcelona, from 7th to 11th October 2024 to collaborate on the following themes:
Open science infrastructures
Teaching support
Research support
Open education and citizen science
We are offering 5 days of lectures and discussions to address the following questions:
What are the challenges facing libraries in supporting teaching and research?
What new tools are available?
What improvements can be implemented?
The registration fee is 150 euros per person which includes mid-morning snacks, lunches each day, one day dinner and some interesting visits.
The language of the Staff Training Week is English, so fluency in English (speaking, listening, reading, writing) is required.
Participants are responsible for arranging and covering accommodation and travel expenses. We encourage participants to seek the Erasmus+ Mobility grant from their home Institution.

The registration is now open until 15 May 2024. Confirmation of selected and non-selected participants will be sent by 7th June 2024. Do not make travel arrangements before your participation is confirmed.
We accept up to 20 participants.
Please note that successfully submitting the pre-registration form does not guarantee acceptance to the event. Also please be aware that this International Mobility Staff Week may be cancelled due to lack of participants or sanitary reasons.
