Cracow Language Teaching Staff Training Week provides an opportunity to exchange expertise and examples of best practice with an audience of language education professionals from higher education institutions. The event focuses on teaching languages in an academic environment as well as teaching languages for specific purposes. Make an impact and contribute to our programme by sending in a paper and becoming a speaker.

The programme will be organized under four main themes:

  • Blended Learning, ICT, Modern Technologies
  • Academic Skills
  • Language for Specific Purposes
  • Autonomous Learning

Who can apply?

  • Language teachers from higher education institutions.
  • EU-Applicants are requested to apply for an ERASMUS+ mobility at the International Office of their home institutions.
  • Applicants from partner institutions might be eligible for ERASMUS+ grants for incoming staff
  • Applicants from other institutions are invited to participate but should cover their own expenses.

Application deadline:   

  • for presenters: 20 January 2019
  • for non-presenters: 1 March 2019

The confirmed schedule of activities will be made available in January 2019.

Registration for non-speakers (preferably foreign language teachers) will open on 1 February 2019.

Acceptance will be confirmed by 11 March 2019.

We can receive up to 30 participants, and no more than 2 participants per university will be accepted, as we would like to have a diversified international group.

The training will take place in three venues located in the city centre:

  • Collegium Maius – the oldest university building, ul. Jagiellońska 15
  • Didactic Centre of the Faculty of Law and Administration, ul. Krupnicza 33 a.
  • Collegium Novum – the main university building, ul. Gołębia 24

 

Participation in presentations and workshops will be open to the teachers of the Jagiellonian Language Centre.
