Designing and Developing Learning in Distance Education

FernUniversität in Hagen cordially invites you to its Staff Week on Designing and Developing Learning in Distance Education. Look forward to five days packed with lots of time to share ideas about innovative distance teaching and learning:

• meet fellow innovative teachers and science managers interested in distance education,
• exchange knowledge about methods, materials and tools of distance teaching,
• learn about Instructional Design and Blended Learning,
• explore the campus of FernUniversität in Hagen, including its logistics center and video studio (and try the latter if you dare ;-),
• be inspired by innovative international distance teaching projects,
• get insights into learning management systems, e-teaching certificates, assessment and quality assurance in distance learning, teaching in different educational cultures, …

The program includes hands-on workshops, discussions with experts, and time for exchange with colleagues as well as social and cultural events.

Application is open for anyone involved in higher education teaching who is interested in Designing and Developing Learning in Distance Education. Please be aware that participants will be asked to share distance teaching and learning experiences from their home institutions.

Innovative eTeaching is an important asset – so join our Staff Week on 18.-22.06.2018. Please note that the “EdMedia + InnovateLearning” Conference takes place on 25.-29.06.2018 in Amsterdam right after our Staff Week. You thus have the opportunity to discuss the topics further.

Participation is free of charge. Participants are expected to cover their travel, accommodation, and living expenses through the Erasmus+ staff mobility funds or otherwise (please contact the International Office at your home institution).
