Enhancing the International Student Experience; sharing views and best practice from across Europe

The University of Kent has pleasure in inviting its current partners to submit an application to attend an Erasmus Staff Training Week from 16th-20th June 2014. This event is entitled Enhancing the International Student Experience; sharing views and best practice from across Europe and is particularly aimed at colleagues with responsibility for supporting international students or ‘internationalisation at home’ schemes within their institution.

The five-day programme will include sessions and workshops on the following:

• Overview of University of Kent and current issues in Higher Education in England
• Marketing, Recruitment, Admissions and Pre-arrival
• Enrolment, orientation and student services
• Academic induction and learning and teaching
• Employability and Careers

This event will provide opportunities for networking and sharing best practice with colleagues from partner institutions, and wherever possible, we will tailor the programme to participants’ needs, and encourage active participation in each of the sessions. Cost

Please note that participants will be expected to cover their own travel and accommodation costs through the Erasmus staff mobility funds available from your home institution.

We will aim to notify applicants of the result of their application by 28th March 2014. Participants who are selected to participate in the event will be invited to submit a short case study relating to the theme of the Training Week; which will be used as the basis for an interactive session.
