Bodrum+ Institute invites you to the pearl of the Aegean, Bodrum, for the Third Environment and Sustainability Course. Garaova Agricultural Park will be the address for trainings that will bring participants together with nature.

The “Environment and Sustainability Course - 3” (ESS-3) will be a practice-intensive training program, and students who complete the summer school will receive a Certificate of Participation.

The course will begin on Sunday afternoon with the gathering of participants. Participants will stay in tents. Daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be included in the program. The program will end on the following Friday afternoon (August 30th).

Registration Fee: 300 EUR 

The number of participants will be between 25 and 30. 

MAIN OBJECTIVES:

- To understand key environmental and sustainability topics including ecology, climate change, energy transition, forest fires, and biodiversity.

- To enhance mental health and wellbeing through engagement with nature.

- To support mindfulness and build resilience, self-esteem, and confidence.

- To encourage participants to use outdoor spaces as alternative environments to support their own mental and physical health and wellbeing.

- To develop leadership skills and build professional relationships through shared experiences.

- To promote a greener future by understanding the critical relationship between humans and the natural environment.

TARGET GROUP:

This course is open to all students and researchers from any field who are interested in environmental and sustainability topics.

GOOD TO KNOW:

This course is based in Bodrum, with Garaova Agricultural Park being the main venue for daily activities.

Here’s a typical day in our program:

Morning: Trekking and field activities

Before noon: Courses and ecological field trainings

Afternoon: Cultural tours and free-time at the beach

Evening: Social gatherings
