The ERASMUS International Week "Outdoors & People", is an extraordinary opportunity to foster international collaboration and the exchange of ideas around outdoor sports, education, and human connection.

This week-long event will bring together experts, educators, and students from diverse backgrounds to share knowledge, experiences, and innovative practices. Through lectures, interactive workshops, and engaging roundtables, we will explore how the outdoors can serve as a dynamic classroom for learning, as well as a space for building meaningful relationships and understanding diverse perspectives.

Participants will also have the opportunity to discuss how outdoor experiences can address the challenges we face in today’s world, from personal well-being and health to environmental sustainability, and how outdoor sports, tourism management, performance, and education play an increasingly important role in shaping higher education and promoting holistic development.

We believe that cultural exchange and shared experiences are essential to enriching the academic landscape. By coming together in this collaborative environment, we aim to create lasting connections and build networks that encourage future partnerships, student exchanges, and joint projects.

This event will offer a unique chance to explore the potential of outdoor spaces as a bridge between people, cultures, and academic disciplines. We invite you to contribute actively by sharing your experiences, ideas, and visions on how outdoor sports and nature can enhance both personal and academic development.

In addition to the academic and professional exchange, participants will have the chance to explore the beautiful region of Rio Maior in Portugal. Known for its vibrant culture, rich history, and stunning natural beauty, the area offers a perfect backdrop for discovering Portugal’s traditions, cuisine, and outdoor wonders. Organized tours and cultural activities will allow you to immerse yourself in the local way of life while connecting with others in this inspiring setting.

Join us for a week of discovery, learning, and connection as we explore the power of the outdoors to bring people together and shape the future of education!
