Dear Partners and Colleagues, we are very pleased to inform you that the University of Catania will be hosting the 9th edition of our ERASMUS STAFF WEEK on “Erasmus+ Staff Mobility: Challenge-Based Approaches”.
The event, scheduled between 4th and 7th June, 2019, is addressed to academic and administrative staff and will offer an intensive program focused on staff mobility exchanges as a tool for developing competences and for promoting the quality of shared curricula and educational programs.
We cordially invite you to join the Catania Staff Week to discuss and share experiences and best practices and to acquire new knowledge and further develop expertise and fresh motivation. Academic mobility increases the quality of education, strengthens teaching professional skills and is instrumental to shared educational programs. Administrative and technical staff mobility increases the quality of administrative services, teaching and student facilities, academic management and promotes institutional commitment.
We hope you will enjoy your experience at our university in a stimulating academic environment based on tradition and innovation, both key elements for educational institutions development.
We are happy to invite up to 35 participants from partner Universities and the following target group have the priority in the selection: international officers and international coordinators, staff dealing with student and/or teaching staff exchanges, with academic issues, human resources staff, finances and accountancy staff, communication and marketing officers; teaching university staff, deans, and vice deans; deputy rectors, Erasmus institutional coordinators, PhD Programs Directors.
We recommend the interested candidates to fill in the online application form until April 8th, 2019. The selection will be made on the basis of the information on professional profile described in the application form on-line and the results will be published and mailed to each applicant shortly after the process deadline by April 12th 2019 approximately.
Please be aware that we can allow a maximum of 3 (three) representatives from each institution and that the attendance of minimum 2/3 of the scheduled activities will be requested.
We do not charge any program fees and will cover all social events and some meals costs. Accommodation and travel cost should be covered by participants.
Please find attached herewith our preliminary Program 2019: we have scheduled some interactive working sessions and discussion groups, as well as cultural and social activities.
We wish to open the University of Catania to our partners and other foreign universities in order to strengthen international cooperation by encouraging the exchange of best practices and experiences.
