Erasmus Staff Training Week "Soft Skills in the International Setting"

The 7th Erasmus Staff Training Week "Soft Skills in the International Setting", which will take place between 20th and 24th May 2019, is the event intended primarily for staff involved with international issues at their home universities. It gives a unique opportunity to find out more about the University of Economics in Katowice and to benchmark and share best practices with colleagues from other institutions. 

The programme of the  Erasmus Staff Training Week at UE Katowice includes a mixture of training sessions in soft skills, discussions and networking among participants as well as some social events and cultural activities that will give opportunity to visit attractive places in the region.

This year training sessions iclude the following topics:

Training 1: "Embracing diversity: international cooperation in global village"

- stereotypes as an obstacle to effective collaboration

- how to communicate efficiently despite the multicultural differences

- diversity as the strenght and the unique added value of high performing teams

Training 2: “Mindful brain, meaningful life”

-does a harmful stress really exist? - newest scientific approach and how to use it

-how to make stress your ally?

-mindfulness – what is all about?

-breathing - simple exercises to restore natural breathing

-how to use mindfulness in everyday life in order to reduce anxiety and tension

The selected participants will be informed of their acceptance by e-mail. The results of the selection will be announced till 22nd February 2019.
