In this course, students will explore, examine and gain an in-depth understanding of key elements of Spain's culture, history and heritage, and learn how to use what they learn to teach Spanish as a foreign language.

The course instructors will lead the students through learning experiences using the project-based learning approach. In this approach, the learning outcome will be the final project, which will determine the nature of the prior tasks. The instructors will employ the learning-by doing approach throughout, presenting the students with stimulating tasks and challenges, and engaging them in learning through debate, active participation and teamwork.

This course includes a guided tour of Valencia's art and architecture and a cultural and leisure programme for late afternoons and evenings.
