Our 1-week ‘IMPROVE YOUR ENGLISH COMMUNICATION SKILLS’ courses aim at helping non-native speakers of English who work in the field of education improve their oral and written communication skills in the English language. Using modern, interactive teaching methods, our instructors will assist learners in enhancing their communicative fluency and accuracy by providing communicative training in a context close to their own in view of the English proficiency level of the course participants at the respective course level.
Apart from actively participating in all online class sessions and carrying out communicative class assignments, learners will be expected to work on an individual (mini-)project of their own interest. This could be an oral presentation or a written document, which the learners would like to create/improve within the framework of the course and with the help of our instructors.
TARGET GROUP:
High school or higher education professionals in an administrative or teaching position who would like to improve their English to suit the needs of a globalized workplace.
5 DIFFERENT PROFICIENCY LEVELS:
A2, B1, B2, C1, C2. Proficiency certificates may be attached to the application form.
If necessary, proficiency levels may be determined by means of an online English language placement test. Course participants will be contacted individually via email ahead of time, and will be given instructions on how to take the placement test.

ENGLISH CLASSES:
10 academic contact hours. One AUBG academic hour lasts 75 minutes.
INSTRUCTORS:
Qualified and experienced English language instructors from the English Language Institute at the American University in Bulgaria. Classes will be taught by native speakers of English from the UK and the USA and by instructors who prepare non-native speaking students for English language college admission exams.
