Intercultural orientation and travel safety awareness for outgoing students

Every year thousands of students embark on a journey to study or do a traineeship abroad. While all students have to follow several administrative procedures before they can depart, we are wondering: Are these students really ready for their exchange and will they get the most out of it?

During this staff training we will address the following topics:

• The importance of intercultural and international competences;
• Intercultural orientation: What is it? How to do it? What are good practices?
• What after the mobility – a debriefing?
• Health and travel safety awareness: what are our responsibilities (before – during -  after mobility)? How can we raise awareness across the institution? 

For this staff training we would like to welcome all university staff members 

• dealing with intercultural orientation/debriefing of their outgoing students;
• working on intercultural learning;
• dealing with travel safety awareness.

The main goal of this staff training is to share experiences and expertise with regard to intercultural orientations, debriefings and travel safety awareness of outgoing students.

• Your expertise in the field of the topic of this staff training;
• your motivation;
