The Summer School International Communication and Interaction: Play with Languages is designed for students, teachers, and lecturers at universities and Higher Education institutions who want to

make effective use of their linguistic repertoire;

develop their plurilingual competence at A2-B1 level of CEFR

adopt intercomprehension strategies

The summer school aims to acquaint participants with a variety of tools and approaches that will help them:

to call upon the knowledge of familiar languages to understand new languages

to work with partial competence in several languages to achieve particular communicative goals

to express themselves in one language and understand the other

to look for cognates and internationalisms in order to make sense of texts in unknown languages

to respond by incorporating elements of other languages and/or variations of languages in his/her own discourse for communication purposes

to exploit paralinguistics (mime, gesture, facial expression, etc.)

The Summer School offers you a truly plurilingual experience: plurilingualism is there as a tool, a learning goal, and content to learn at the same time. You will be exposed to French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Czech and German. The workshops will help you gain a practical insight into how plurilingual competence works and will foster your abilities to solve the situations dealing with languages you are not very familiar with.
