“Towards a Vision of Sustainable University”

The Jagiellonian University and the Masaryk University are pleased to invite you to the “International JU & MUNI Sustainability Days”. Our staff week’s main focus will be the vision of a sustainable university. We especially invite all professional staff engaged in policies and practices related to the sustainability strategy at their university.

Sustainable development is one of the biggest challenges to contemporary universities. During the event we would like to invite all participants to share good practices and brainstorm on the issue of sustainability in the HEI context. We will focus on issues such as: transport, maintenance, infrastructure, skills, behaviors of the academic community, building a perspective for pro-ecological behavior and above all creating a sustainable university as an educational institution that educates citizens about sustainable development through study programmes, offers relevant insights on urgent societal challenges, empowers students and staff to act, and makes sustainability a central priority.

Participants will have a chance to share their knowledge in the area and boast about already implemented procedures and results achieved in the field of sustainable development at their institutions.

40 is the maximum number of participants. All activities will be in English.

International JU & MUNI Sustainability Days “Towards a Vision of Sustainable University” is an Utrecht Network (UN) initiative and in case of shortage of available places UN staff will be given priority.
