The ninth edition of the International Language Week will be held at Turku University of Applied Sciences in Turku, Finland. It is being organised by Turku UAS in cooperation with the Language Centre and the Institute for Intercultural Communication of Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences in Germany (co-hosts).
This year’s theme will be exploring the intersections of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) with the rich tapestry of languages and cultures. This event aims to delve into the ways in which language and cultural understanding can foster inclusivity, dismantle barriers, and promote a more equitable society.
We encourage proposals by lecturers, researchers, trainers, scholars, and undergraduate as well as graduate students that present innovative ideas, empirical research, case studies, and practical strategies contributing to the ongoing dialogue on fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion through a lens of languages and cultures.
