For 2024, University of Helsinki offers three tracks for the International Staff Training Days, with a maximum of 15 participants for each.

The tracks are:



1. Creating Impact with the Power of Networks

Target Group: Intermediate/advanced level professionals in international affairs, overseeing university-level alliances or networks  

This track will discuss topics such as:  

• Role of managers in networks and alliances  

• Getting buy-in from internal and external stakeholders  

• Community-building  

• Synergies between different networks  

• Evaluating networks and alliances 

For those of you who work with international mobility, you might already now be keen to know that in  May 2025, we will arrange a training event which is more focused on international mobility.

2. Institutional Research Analysis

Target group: For professionals in charge of Institutional research and/or business intelligence at the university 

This track will discuss topics such as:  

• Best practices in linking data on university performance to the management processes  

• Supporting the management of faculties with analysed data  

• Advanced statistical methods (forecasting, machine learning) in support of university management 

3. Well-being and Responsbile Interaction of the University Community

Target Group: HRD & HR well-being specialists, student well-being specialists, guidance counsellors, study psychologists 

This track will discuss topics such as:  

• Well-being  

• Responsible interaction 

• Inclusion 

• Communality
