Dear international Colleagues,
From 12 June until 16 June 2017 the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Natural Sciences (MIN Faculty) of Universität Hamburg (UHH), Germany will organize an International Staff Training Week. This will be the first such event the Faculty has hosted.
We invite colleagues from International Offices (priority), whose university is offering MIN or MIN-related study programs. We also invite educational, administrative and internationalization staff from international institutions offering or working in MIN or MIN-related study programs to participate in the 5-day program on the “Internationalization of MIN Subjects”.
The program includes workshops as well as presentations and discussions on experiences, challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the fields of internationalisation. MIN-focused topics anticipated to be covered include, among others, internationalization strategies, international student mobility, international M.Sc., internationalization at home, academic orientation in MIN subjects for international students, measures for winning top-class MIN students from abroad and best practices of international work. Beside the presentations, workshops and discussions, there will be opportunity of networking through social events. The working language is English.
The main objectives of the International Staff Week are:
We are planning to host a maximum of 30 participants. If we receive more applications than there are places available, then there will be a selection process based on the best match for the MIN Faculty, which will assist in maximizing the outcomes of the International Staff Week. In case of great demand, it is possible that only one participant per institution may be accepted. European participants may be able to apply for an Erasmus+ Staff Training Week grant in order to cover eligible costs related to this mobility through their own institution’s International Office.
This is a good opportunity to get to know our University and Faculty.
