Located one hour and 10 minutes from Paris by train and one hour and 45 minutes by car as well as just 40 minutes from the sea, the city of Rouen, Normandy enjoys a beneficial geographic location.

DEVELOPING SKILLS TOGETHER

CESAR, the association of Rouen HEIs, is holding its 3rd International Staff Training Week (ISTW) from Monday 12th to Thursday 15th June 2017. This year, we will be focusing on developing skills together in international relations. This ISTW will be a unique way to find out more about the topic by sharing best practices and networking with member institutions of CESAR (the university of Rouen Normandy, 4 engineering schools, 1 School of architecture, 1 Art and Design school, 1 Social Development Institute,1 Business school , 1 vocational education and training school and  1 school of Health and Medical Sciences: CESI, ENSA Normandie, ERFPS, ESADHaR, ESIGELEC, IRTS IDS Normandie, INSA Rouen Normandie, NEOMA Business School, UniLaSalle - alphabetical order ) and you, our partner institution colleagues.



TARGET AUDIENCE

Foreign partner institutions with a bilateral agreement with one or more CESAR members (see above) or prospective new partners.

International Office staff, Students Affairs Office staff, teaching staff, deans and international relations stakeholders.



PROGRAM

The ISTW will combine seminars, workshops, a company visit, a survival French lesson and sightseeing in Rouen. The main topics will be: linguistic preparation, intercultural communication, increasing outgoing mobility, adapting your communication, anticipating and managing crises, managing refugees, Erasmus + funding opportunities for Non-EU, organising a world café and designing a summer school.

The sessions will be conducted in English.



PRACTICAL INFORMATION AND REGISTRATION

Participation in the program is free of charge. Participants will cover their travel, accommodation and personal expenses. The host institutions will provide two lunches, the opening dinner, the gala evening and the social program. The program of workshops, a list of recommended hotels and all practical information will be provided with your invitation letter.
