We will have a week with plenty of opportunities to visit our Schools and a Networking Exhibition were all can share information on their HEI with their  international peers, and local teachers, staff and students. The main goal will be of course the transfer and exchange of  experiences and know-how; beneficiaries (in and out) will be given the opportunity to learn from the experiences and good practices of the partner institutions and discuss the main topics approached in a common workshop. Further everyone get to enjoy a social and cultural rich week with some events we have specially prepared to leave good memories and the wish to visit us again!

Who can attend?

The International Week  is open to all teaching and non-teaching staff of any EU institution,  partner countries and 3rd countries from the groups included in the International Credit Mobility. Spanish and Italians don’t need to have a special level of language due to the similarity of language but it is requested at least a B1 level of English for all the other countries.

The maximum number of participants is 60. If we receive more applications, there will be a selection process based on the early application and on the countries diversity. We will send you an email with the invitation letter.

Workshop – “Changing Governance in Higher Education- Collaborative Working”

The changing dynamics of the globalized world forces Universities to adapt to a brand new environment.  The rapid evolution of cross-border activities beyond the European space, the university rankings, the business-university, the market, the feeling that national borders are blurred and sometimes don’t exist at all - globalization is changing the face of the European university.

The paradigm shift from cooperation to competition affects the university identity. Complex financial situation have been created to face the challenges of performed based funding. Structured forms of collaborative work seem to boost  integrated  institutional baggage, quality assurance policies, sustainability and specialized network. The weight matters in what concerns a big Consortium in the dialogue with the European Institutions nevertheless Europe should take more seriously some complaints regarding the leveraging that has been asked to HEIs, specially taking in due account that we have a long established culture of competition and Institutions fear losing independence.

The Workshop will approach this new reality, the extension to other Erasmus + activities besides de traineeships and how to deal with this new dynamics without losing one’s identity. Hopefully a number of recommendations will come up from it and sent to the European Institutions.
