In an era marked by rapid changes, the resilience of universities has never been more crucial. Our upcoming International Week is dedicated to the multifaceted concept of resilience within the higher education sector. Together, we will share best practices, learn from experts, and collaborate on building a roadmap towards a more resilient future for our universities.

The IW 2024 will give participants a unique opportunity to find out more about our university, network and share best practices with other colleagues working for the international, study abroad offices or professional academics. The 5-day programme includes round table discussions, presentations, problem-solving cases and social events. The main objectives of the programme include networking, transfer of knowledge and sharing of experiences and best practices among colleagues from partner and non-partner institutions. Participants are expected to bring into the discussion examples from their institutions and present best practices or innovative approaches to the issues addressed. In the context of cultural activities, participants will have the chance to go on a guided tour of Brno city and a field trip to Punkva Caves. The selection of participants must take into consideration the relevance of their professional responsibilities. If all applicants fulfil the criteria, we will apply the first-come and first-served principle, moreover, if you are not selected it’s not necessarily personal! Priority will be given to partner Universities. Please register yourselves in this form.

The programme will contain activities as follows:

- Lectures (given by participants) and Workshops

- Tour of faculty facilities and laboratories

- Individual meetings with representatives of the particular departments and discussion on cooperation possibilities

- Networking activities and cultural programme

- GoAbroad Fair and International Market

- Trip (not included in the IW fee)

TARGET GROUP: Both academic and non-academic staff of different fields of study (please, specify your specialization in the registration form)

WORKING LANGUAGE: English (at least level B2 is required)

COSTS: Participation in International Week is 75 EUR. The participants are expected to cover their travel and accommodation costs (it is recommended to use an Erasmus + grant provided by your home university). Additionally, participants can pay 35 EUR for a field trip. This year´s International Week is organized within BIP programme. BIP combines physical and virtual activity. If you come as a BIP participant, you will take part in the physical part of the International Week (workshops and seminars) plus the virtual part. The virtual part will take place after the physical part of the programme. As a BIP participant, you do not have to pay a registration fee.

REGISTRATION: Registration will be open until 15/03/2024. After this term, the International Week coordinators will contact the selected participants. Please, provide all the necessary information in the application form to help us put together a unique blend of professionals from different fields and cultural backgrounds.
