Internationnal Staff Week

Dear Erasmus+ colleague,

We are glad to invite you to take part in the International Staff Week that will be held at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra (FMUC) on June 6th – 9th 2017.

With this event we will give participants the unique opportunity to find out more about the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra and share best practices with our partner and non-partner universities in the scope of internationalization in Medicine, to improve and increase international cooperation within the Medical Faculties.

Target group: International Office staff working in internationalization in the field of Medicine (mobility programmes, student services, international cooperation, agreements) are welcome to this staff week.

The main communication language is English.

Programme: The programme will include different workshops on application procedure and regulations, course compatibility process, student traineeships, internationalization strategies. Visits to departments/services of the FMUC and University Coimbra Hospitals. Site visits to research centres, networking events, and social programmes (excursions, dinner, etc) are also part of the programme. Participants are expected to bring into the discussion examples from their own institutions and present best practices or innovative approaches to the issues addressed. Enclosed you can find the preliminary agenda.

Accommodation: Support is provided through a selection of hotels but participants are responsible to make their own reservations. List of hotels and prices will be published soon. Do not make any arrangements before we have confirmed your participation, because we will help the accepted participants in finding accommodation.

Please note that participants are expected to cover their costs of travel and accommodation as well as make the necessary arrangements and reservations.

Lunches, coffee-breaks and dinner are covered by the organization.

We have 20 places and a maximum of 2 persons per institution can be accepted to create a diverse international group.
