The conference "Inverted Classroom and beyond" has already taken place eight times. It has become an indispensable impetus for the further development of the inverted classroom model and innovative university didactics in the German-speaking world and beyond. The inverted classroom model means that learners prepare for their time in class with digitally available materials and related tasks. Attendance time is used to deepen, practice and apply focal points. Peer learning and peer assessment play a central role in all phases.

From 2020, this conference will be continued as a DACH project, making it even more exciting and diverse.

The conference will be organised by the University College of Teacher Education in Lower Austria. Therefore, the ninth "Inverted Classroom & Beyond" conference will take place on 11 and 12 February 2020 at the Baden campus near Vienna. It is aimed at a broad audience and will be characterised by thematically varied lectures and workshops.

Main topics of the conference:

    The driving force behind interdisciplinarity

    Didactic maker spaces

Open educational resources & didactic patterns

    learning analytics

    Virtual, Augmented & Mixed Reality

Digital Literacy meets Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Important Information:

Although the language of the conference is German in general, simultaneous translation is provided. Some workshops will be offered in English as well.
