Theme: Getting the best out of Erasmus post 2020: Building strategies for mobilities and education cooperation projects (KA2)

Participant profile for Track 1: Erasmus Mobility:  Erasmus Institutional coordinators (KA103)

Participant profile for Track 2: Education Cooperation Projects: Specialists/Experts/policy advisors working with international education cooperation (Erasmus KA2) projects (at the central level).

It is possible to send a participant to both tracks from the same university.

University of Helsinki is happy to announce an ISEW Club with two specialized tracks in November 2019. This ISEW Club for Erasmus programme management invites Erasmus Institutional Coordinators and Experts and Policy Advisors working with Education Cooperation Projects to share thoughts, experiences and best practices of Erasmus activities in an interactive way. All delegates will be asked to contribute in advance with examples of best practices to enable active discussion and networking during the event. The two tracks will join together for a couple of sessions and the evening networking events.

Depending on the participant profile, the delegates will apply to one of the two possible tracks:

Track 1 for Erasmus Institutional Coordinators: The new Erasmus program period will start in 2021. Although the EU commission has promised us evolution and not revolution, there are still some fairly radical changes coming, such as digitalization of Erasmus processes and new forms of mobility. Furthermore, as the currently existing Erasmus agreements all come to an end at the end of 2020-21, this is an opportunity to think more strategically also on our Erasmus partnerships – can we and should we strategically coordinate also this aspect of internationalization more than we’ve done so far? Erasmus Institutional Coordinators joining our ISEW Club are invited to share their thoughts, best and worst practices in these topics to learn from one another. The aim of this club is also to network among Erasmus Institutional Coordinators around themes that are relevant for us all.

Track 2 for Experts and Policy Advisors of education cooperation projects: Universities are engaging more and more in international education cooperation projects like Erasmus+ Key Action 2 funded projects. Thus, support services, processes and strategies are being built up to manage and oversee the education cooperation projects within universities. Delegates joining this track are invited to partake in active discussion, share their best practices and learn from others. Discussion topics include e.g. administration of university project portfolio, support services for education cooperation projects, evaluation of cooperation and strategies for managing the projects within the university. The aim of this track is also to build a network for the experts and policy advisors sharing the similar kind of work tasks. Please note that this ISEW Club is not about how to apply for KA2 project funding.
