International Staff Week - Interculture & Job Shadowing

Welcome to Karlstad 9th –12th June 2020

We would like to invite you to join the International Staff Week at Karlstad University, in the heart of Sweden. The exchange is open to all staff in International Offices, Study Guidance, University Services or Faculties supporting International Students and/or Staff. The focus of the week is ongoing engagement and cooperation with our current partners and welcoming new and prospective partners. We will give extra focus on interculture and job shadowing.

On Thursday during the International Staff Week you get the opportunity to get to know our colleagues a bit better through a day of job shadowing. In your application, you can choose from one of the following departments (further presentation in attached provisional programme):

• Communications Department
• Department of Student Affairs
• External Relations Department – Research and Innovation Support
• External Relations Department – Student and Alumni Cooperation

• Human Resources Department

• IT Department

• International Office

• Study and Carrier Counselling

• Salary Department

The week will be run in English and interactive consequently a good standard of English is beneficial to your participation. 

To join us please complete the online application form no later than 6th March 2020. 

We can accept up to 20 participants and would like to meet as diverse a group of colleagues as possible. Following the deadline should we receive more applications than places we shall select from as wide a range of institutions as possible.
