Language and interculturality in higher education

The Rennes 2 University International Office, in conjunction with the Rennes International Centre for the Study of French (the CIREFE) and the Espace des langues of Rennes 2 University are pleased to invite you to our next Erasmus + Staff Training Week!

The programme has been designed for administrative and academic staff of Rennes 2 University partners, with priority given to universities of the EMERGE Consortium and the Wild Atlantic Alliance (WAA) but applications from other partners will also be considered.

Our Offer:

• Improve your French language skills with Rennes 2’s premier language-learning center, the CIREFE.
• Gain a greater understanding of the French culture and take part in numerous cultural outings.
• Participate in game-based learning with an innovative escape game on interculturality (in French) and learn about local Breton culture with Rennes 2’s Espace des Langues.

Practical Information:

• Minimum level of French required: Confirmed A2 level (a preliminary online language test will be proposed to help determine the level of each selected participant). A certificate of participation will be distributed at the end of the week's courses.
• Venue: Rennes 2 University, Villejean Campus, Rennes (Brittany)
• Date: from June 24th to June 28th, 2024
• Registration is available online: registration form here. The number of participants is limited to 20 persons maximum and we will not be able to accept more than 2 persons per institution. All applicants will receive the results of the selection by email by no later than April 3rd, even those who are not selected.
• Costs and Fees: 280 € per individual (please consult the last page of the program for more information).

1. ΜεταFLE program (July 1 to 6, 2024), a 1-week training for students and teachers of the French language.
2. Summer Courses ( June 24 - July 12, 2024), a 3-week French language and civilisation program.
