Language Center Staff Training Week

The second Staff Training Week of Europa-Universität Flensburg organized by the Language Center will take place from May 18 to 20, 2020. We warmly invite you to experience Europa-Universität Flensburg, its bi-cultural city and the border region.

How can a university language center best contribute to the campus as a community of learning? How can it support the various academic and career goals of students, faculty and staff? What is the language center’s role in furthering internationalization on campus, and what specific services and resources can it offer to that end? Can language programs and policies help dismantle the linguistic barriers to academic or professional success? How is the changing face of internationalization in Europe and the world challenging language centers to re-think their program offerings?

This very special staff week, offered by the Language Center (FSZ) of Europa-Universität Flensburg, offers an exciting opportunity to exchange ideas about these and other issues with other professionals from our partner universities across Europe.

Our mixed program will combine workshops, visits, and talks with a fun range of social activities in and around the historic town of Flensburg. Join us and take advantage of this unique opportunity to meet with other language center staff from universities across Europe, to observe first-hand how EUF organizes its own successful language center program, and to discuss some of the challenges that university language centers currently face.

The number of delegates for the week will be limited to 20, with the maximum number of two delegates per institution.

The deadline for registration is February 15, 2020.
