This year holds special significance, as SMK proudly celebrates its 30th anniversary, marking three decades of meaningful contributions to higher education in Lithuania. Over the past 30 years SMK has contributed to fostering creativity, critical thinking, and practical skills, equipping students for success in a rapidly changing world. Through its commitment to academic excellence and close collaboration with business leaders, SMK has empowered individuals to become leaders in their fields. This milestone is not just a celebration of the past but also a testament to SMK’s vision for the future—continuing to redefine the boundaries of education, nurturing talents, and fostering meaningful synergies between academia and industry.

To mark this celebration, SMK College of Applied Sciences (www.smk.lt) invites you to our International Week: Meaningful Science & Business Synergies: Rethinking Education in a Changing World. The IW will be held from the 12th to the 15th of November 2024 in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania.

Join us for an engaging event that explores the future of education through the lens of collaboration between science and business. You will have the opportunity to participate in two side events and networking sessions with thought leaders from academia and industry. Don’t miss this chance to contribute to meaningful discussions shaping the future of education.

Participation in the International Week is free of charge, however, participants are expected to cover their own travel and accommodation expenses through the Erasmus+ funds for staff mobility or otherwise using the grants provided by the home University of a participant. We invite participants to check the availability of such funding with their home institution.

The application deadline is Thursday, 31st October, 2024.

We look forward to welcoming you to Vilnius!

Registration is open HERE.
