1. Information About Teaching Mobility Activity:

A structured, one-week programme designed to maximize impact and engagement. Alongside your minimum 8 hours of teaching over 5 days, participants will enjoy a curated experience that may include:

Departmental engagement: guest lectures, seminars, workshops, class visits

Research immersion: visits to METU research centers and labs

Innovation ecosystem: tour of METU Technopolis (METU Technopark) and meetings with stakeholders

Campus & culture: guided campus tour, city excursion, and multicultural networking

Community & celebration: opening briefing and a closing gala dinner

2. Application Conditions (Minimum Requirements):

-Applicants must actively work at the partner institution at the time of application

-Applicants must be employed for teaching and lecturing at the partner institution

-The nominated staff should have a minimum English proficiency level of B2, as indicated in the IIA.

-Only candidates working in the Teaching Week priority fields specified in this call are eligible. Applicants whose expertise falls outside these fields (Ethics, Responsibility & Sustainability in Engineering) cannot be accepted faculty members from engineering departments as well as experts from related fields such as Engineering Education (e.g., within the Faculty of Education) are eligible to apply.

3. Application Procedures:

Once you have completed the selection process, please send us (to the e-mail below) the following documents:

- Mobility Proposal of the Applicant(s) with Required Signatures

- Curriculum Vitae of the Applicant(s)

- Copy of Passport / National ID card

The deadline for applications is 10 November 2025.

4. Important Notes:

Please note that the application of the nominees does not guarantee their acceptance by METU. It is possible for academic departments not to accept the applications because of the limited departmental capacity or the incompatibility between the field of the applicants and the present fields of interest in our academic departments.

ACCOMODATION: Participants will be informed about on and off campus accommodation options by METU. Accommodation costs will be covered by the participants themselves.

Important: Before applying, please verify that your institution has an Erasmus+ Inter-Institutional Agreement (IIA) with METU that covers teaching mobility. If not, we can conclude an IIA prior to your visit, subject to mutual confirmation.

Important: This call is only for the Teaching Week on 13-17 April 2026. Alternative dates cannot be accommodated.

Total capacity is limited to 30 participants.

METU International Cooperations Office opens a new application call for incoming teaching staff mobility within the framework of ERASMUS+ KA131 Program for 2025-2026 academic year, specifically for METU Teaching Week, to be held between 13-17 April 2026. Selected beneficiaries must participate during this week; hosting at any other time will not be possible.

The application period will be conducted between 6 October and 10 November, 2025.

Interested academics must apply to their own institutions for Erasmus+ staff mobility funding (teaching). Please consult your Erasmus Office regarding available schemes and internal procedures.

Fields: Candidates are expected to work in and be able to contribute to the declared priority fields of Teaching Week (Ethics, Responsibility & Sustainability in Engineering). Selected visitors are expected to contribute to first-year introductory courses across all departments of the Faculty of Engineering. Therefore, applications may include faculty members from engineering departments as well as experts from related fields such as Engineering Education (e.g., within the Faculty of Education). Applicants must briefly explain how they will contribute to these fields in their Mobility Proposal.
