The first international staff training week at the Faculty of Commerce, Hospitality and Tourism of Budapest Business School will be held from 8th to 12th of June 2020, offering a training and sharing opportunity for HEI teaching staff interested in:

  • developing teaching and assessment methods
  • sharing innovative digital solutions and the results of own projects and research
  • exploring ways of cooperation between enterprises and higher education
  • collaborating with teachers of different subject areas in order to develop students’ communication skills, use of foreign languages for professional purposes and other competencies for employability.

The international week will have the potential to establish a network of educators and researchers committed to improving the quality of teaching in higher education and beyond. Participants are invited to apply for Erasmus+ mobility grants for training at their sending institutions. After completion, participants will be awarded Erasmus+ Mobility certificates.

Cost: The participation in the international staff training week is free of charge, there is no registration fee. Participants will arrange their travel individually and cover their own expenses (including accommodation, meals and transportation). If needed, the organizers will provide help for participants in their travel arrangements. The host of the international week will offer a networking dinner and a thematic sightseeing tour in Budapest for the participants of the international week.

Additional programs: Two conferences will be organized at our university during the international week. The program of the staff training week will be flexible, so the participants may attend any of these conferences optionally at their own expenses, in addition to participating in the program of the international staff training week if their application is accepted by the conference organizers.

Who can participate?

The 25 participants will include teaching staff from BBS’ current or prospective partner universities in the Erasmus+ program, namely:

  • specialists in business-related subjects
  • language professionals seeking the ways to improve the effectiveness of the development of students’ FL communication skills
  • staff specialized or interested in teaching methodology related with the topic of the training

The idea of the staff training week is to learn from each other, so we encourage all the international participants to present their good practices or project results. If you are interested in participating, we kindly invite you to fill in the application form. The organizing committee will consider every proposal for participation and participants can apply for an Erasmus+ mobility grant at their institutions.

Deadlines: Please send your application before the 15th of March 2020.

You can submit your application here.

The final program will be sent to participants before the 15th of April 2020.
