Northumbria’s in-person International Training Week (ITW) is back! This year we would like to invite you to explore the concept of "Social Justice at the Heart of International Mobility", considering any student who is abroad on an international mobility programme. These experiences, whether, study, work or volunteering, for any length of time, have a deep impact on a person's life. In order to provide the best possible experience to our students, we must consider several areas, such as their sense of belonging, mental health, finances, amongst others. This week we will explore those issues and share best practice on how to resolve them, train colleagues and reflect on our experiences.
We have secured experts in embedding EDI and internationalisation activities in the curriculum, EDI colleagues who work with students and staff, research and EDI and complex programmes and risk management. Please review the programme for specfic information on these topics and more! We will also include a full-day trip to beautiful Northumberland, delivered by Lundgren Tours, an alumnus of Northumbria.
The ITW will include a Study Abroad fair, where exchange partners will be able to promote their institution to our students, which will take place on 22nd October.
