NOVA University Lisbon is pleased to invite you to our International Staff Week: Boosting HEI branding through internationalization
From the 12th to the 16th of May 2025, this event will be a forum for ideas and experiences.
This Staff week will have working sessions every day that will be decomposed into:
· An introductory presentation on the topic, given by a NOVA expert, sharing NOVA’s experience;
· A workshop coordinated into small groups to reflect on the presentation and share best practices;
· A final panel presentation on the topic of that day, including experts from different areas and participants of the staff week.
You can find below a draft of the programme:
Day 1: Development of International Partnerships and Attract International Students
Exploring strategies to build strong international partnerships that offer joint programs and exchanges, and discuss effective ways to attract and support international students to boost global visibility.
Day 2: Global Research Collaboration and Strengthening International Alumni Networks
Dive into strategies for building high-impact research partnerships that address global challenges, and exploring methods to grow international alumni networks that drive brand loyalty and enhance global reputation through active, engaged alumni communities.
Day 3: International Branding and Communication and International Rankings
Focus on how to build a strong brand through clear, culturally relevant communication, and exploring how global rankings can help raising the institution’s profile and attract students and partners worldwide.
Day 4: Establishing International Campuses/Offices and Promoting Cultural and Academic Diversity
Discussing processes of setting up international campuses or liaison offices, and explore ways to enrich cultural and academic diversity, enhancing the institution’s global appeal and inclusivity.
Day 5: Leveraging International Faculty and Staff and Engaging in International Community and Outreach Programs
Discover effective ways to recruit diverse, internationally experienced faculty and staff, and explore community outreach initiatives that demonstrate the institution’s commitment to global citizenship, sustainability, and societal impact.
The final and detailed program will be sent to the selected candidates in the first week of April 2025.

The form must be submitted by the 28th of February 2025.
The non-refundable participation fee is €250.
The participation fee includes coffee breaks, lunches, one farewell dinner, and other social activities.
We will send the details for the bank transfer once the participants are accepted.
Participants are expected to cover their own travel and accommodation expenses through the Erasmus funds for staff mobility or otherwise.
The speaking language at NOVA ISW 2025 will be English.
