The Foreign Language Center of the University of Economics in Katowice would like to invite university language teachers as well as academics specialising in professional communication and cross-cultural issues to join our International Week focusing on  Professional communication and language skills in culturally diverse contexts.

Professional communicative competence involves not only the appropriate use of specialist language, but also communication skills and cultural awareness. The participants will  share their expertise with our students through lectures, workshops or practicals. In addition, there will be discussion forums where we will  look at the challenges arising from the internationalization of higher education and exchange  teaching experience and practice.

The event will also provide an opportunity to network with colleagues from other universities and gain hands-on insight into different cultures, as well as to explore the cultural and historic attractions of Katowice and Upper Silesia.

A preliminary program of the event.

Please apply to our International Week here.
