The Quality of University Education: Harmonizing Purposes, Processes and Outcomes

This Summer University course is suitable for and aims to bring together all participants in institutional quality assurance processes -faculty, staff and students. During  the five day course participants will discuss what quality means for different institutions and the challenges and best practices in fulfilling the many purposes of quality assurance at university level, such as accountability, efficiency, control, evaluation, accreditation, measurement and quality improvement.

The course aims to help universities develop their own internal quality assurance and enhancement processes – including institutional self-studies, program-reviews, faculty and course evaluations, quality of management and student services – and coordinate their efforts to ensure that the outcomes and processes of university teaching meet local and international standards simultaneously

By the end of the summer course, participants will become familiar with European and international best practices of quality assurance and enhancement at university level, and be able to design tailor-made quality assurance mechanisms for their own institutions.

The course takes place in the award winning CEU campus in downtown Budapest and is not only an opportunity to learn but also a good ocassion to have fun and relax in the company of like-minded colleagues.
