Internationalisation of higher education: Lessons drawn from experience and opportunities

The Université de Rennes 1 will hold its third annual Erasmus Staff Week from 5th to 9th December 2016 on the theme of Internationalisation of higher education: Lessons drawn from experience and opportunities.

Only two hours from Paris and one hour from famous sites such as the Mont Saint-Michel and Saint-Malo, the Université de Rennes 1 is one of France's twelve main universities. With international cooperation one of its priorities, the university welcomes over 3,600 international students each year and collaborates with 56 countries around the world.

The goal of the Erasmus Staff Week is to create a forum for discussion on the subject of international mobility, and to share your experience and practices relating to international and student mobility with us.

On the programme

Three themed workshops will be accompanied by bilateral meetings with our international partners (on request) and several cultural visits.

The first workshop will focus on the question of international visibility (indicators, ranking and communication strategy) and two others which will be centred around student welcome procedures and communication with partners (selection, monitoring and exchange assessment).

Practical information

The Erasmus staff week is free of charge and includes an arrival meal and a Breton teatime. Participants are expected to cover their travel, accommodation and living expenses.

If you are interested in taking part, please fill in the application by Thursday 15th September 2016.
