Sharing Excellence Week for administrative staff

Turku University of Applied Sciences, Finland, organizes a Sharing Excellence Week for administrative staff on 5–9 June, 2017. The theme of the week is ‘Supporting better life’.

‘Excellence in action’ is the title of our strategy. Excellence is an important goal not only for students and lecturers, but also for staff working in administration, and it is an idea we would like to share with our colleagues from all over the world. Now we would like to invite you to share your excellence with us! What kind of excellence can be found in your own university? What kind of excellence would you like to learn from your colleagues? What could we do together in the future?

Many of our administrative units will organize their own programme during the week, so you will have many options to choose from:

• Communications and Marketing

• Creating Innovative and Inspiring Learning Spaces

• Future Learning Services

• How to Support Better Life in The Staff and Student Mobility

• Human Resources

• Libraries Supporting Well-Being in Learning and Working

• RDI Services

• Student  and admission services

• Workshop on University Services for Business, Community and Individuals

In particular, we are still hoping to meet colleagues working with facilities and physical and digital learning spaces, pedagogical development, customer-oriented continuing education or alumni relations, as well as RDI support services and library staff. Please forward this to your colleagues who might be interested in visiting us! Colleagues working in other areas of administration (such as general administration) are also very welcome!

In addition to the official part, the Sharing Excellence Week also has an active social programme. You get to explore the beautiful city of Turku, and to experience the most typical features of the Nordic lifestyle! Both our European partners (Erasmus+ programme) and our partners from overseas are welcome. There is a participation fee of 100 € for the Sharing Excellence Week. This fee will cover the lunches during the week and evening programmes on Monday and Thursday. The attendees should cover their travel, accommodation and lunch costs themselves.
