Social and Emotional Learning: If you are looking for classroom strategies to enhance your connection with your students, this course will interest you. This course equips teachers to help their students learn in more successful and meaningful ways. Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) is the process through which young people and adults acquire the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to develop healthy identities, manage emotions, and achieve personal and learning goals. This course is designed to introduce teachers to the principles of SEL, showing how these strategies can be applied in the classroom to empower students to improve their academic performance while decreasing stress and anxiety.

 

Who is it for?

Teachers, tutors, and professors interested in finding ways to engage and motivate students.

Course Content:

  • Project and discussion-based classroom activities designed to explore key elements of SEL
  • Strategies to build self-management skills in students
  • Understanding social awareness in the classroom
  • Communication skills and conflict resolution

Delivery: in person at our Galway school. One to one Online courses also available on request.

Social Programme:

Full-day tour to destination on Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way such as  Connemara or the Cliffs of Moher. Afternoon activities including walking tour of Galway, language and culture workshops and social networking event. 

Accommodation Options: participants can book their own accommodation or apply for Atlantic accommodation – student apartments or host family. Accommodation prices available on request.
