From the perspective of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), academic mobility increases the quality of education and research and administrative and technical staff mobility increases and assures the quality of administration, management and student services. The modernisation of HEIs thus depends on the competences and motivation of all their staff. In this matter, staff mobility is a significant means and incentive for professional development and institutional commitment. For this reason Ghent University is partner in the REALISE project:
REALISE aims at embedding staff mobility in the institutional strategies of HEIs as part of their modernisation and internationalization agenda’s. Staff mobility is a valuable opportunity for academic and non-academic staff to acquire new knowledge and develop new expertise. In order to share our best practices for these challenges and to develop further your staff mobility strategy and practice in your university, the REALISE-team will provide you during 3 days with guest lecturers, training sessions and networking opportunities.
